Aruba Bank surprised the Aruba Animal Shelter Foundation during their Drop-Off Day

Aruba Bank surprised Aruba Animal Shelter Foundation (AASF) with a donation of AWG. 1,000 during their Drop-Off Day on World Animal Day. Aruba Animal Shelter Foundation (AASF) currently provides housing for 18 adult dogs, 18 puppies, 10 adult cats and 8 kittens with a home when they are awaiting the chance to be adopted by a family. During the Drop-Off day, the community had the chance to make a drop-off of the following items: Dog and cat food, cleaning products, dog shampoo, old towels that are not being used anymore and any form of monetary help was also welcome.

The main goal of AASF is to improve the quality of life for the animals on our island and to make sure that the problem of these animals is taken care of. Each year a total of 250 dogs and 100 cats are given the opportunity for a better quality of life via di AASF. Unfortunately, every year a total of 7000 animals are being put down to sleep. This is the main reason why AASF focuses on the awareness that is being made to the community through events and activities of the pro’s and con’s that comes when having a dog or cat at home.
