Aruba Bank N.V. on Mon, 24 April 2023 09:13:17 GMTAruba Bank has announced its commitment to supporting mental health in Aruba by donating parts of the proceeds from this year's Walk and Run event registration to Respaldo. The event will take place from May 22nd to May 25th, and the donation will support Respaldo's efforts to treat complex mental disorders and psychiatric problems.
Respaldo is a foundation that operates according to the most modern scientific knowledge and offers a variety of treatments, including psychiatric, psychological, specialized healthcare advice, and social work. The foundation operates a clinic, previously known as PAAZ, and a policlinic that caters to children, youngsters, and adults. Respaldo also offers home care services carried out by their dedicated FACT-team. The foundation ensures that its employees follow regular education to maintain their certification.
The mental health foundation has seen a growing need for mental health support in all age groups, particularly as the pandemic has brought on increased feelings of loneliness, depression, and desperation in the Aruban population.
"The pandemic has had an immense impact on our society, and it has been particularly challenging for those struggling with mental health issues," said Managing Director of Aruba Bank, Els Avontuur. "We recognize the critical importance of mental health services in our community, and we are proud to support Respaldo in its efforts to provide crucial support to those in need."
Aruba Bank's commitment to supporting Respaldo reflects its ongoing dedication to supporting the well-being of all its residents and serving the Aruban community.
